The PRAXIS II Economics (0910) Exam

 PRAXIS II Economics (0910) ExamGraduates interested in teaching high school economics may be required by their licensing state to pass the PRAXIS Economics (0910) test, a two-hour exam that contains 100 questions concerning major economic theories, principles, and ideas. The PRAXIS II Economics exam contains four sections, two in microeconomics and two in macroeconomics. The microeconomics sections contain roughly 55 questions total. The macroeconomics sections contain approximately 45 questions. Not all of the questions on the PRAXIS II Economics test are factored into the final score.
Microeconomics Sections I & II
The Microeconomics I section of the PRAXIS II Economics exam concerns choice and opportunity costs, comparative advantage and trade, economic systems, elasticity, market efficiency, market failures and public policy, scarcity, and supply and demand. It contains approximately 25 questions. The Microeconomics II section of the PRAXIS Economics test concerns factor markets and income distribution, production and cost, and product markets and the behavior of firms. It consists of roughly 30 questions.
Macroeconomics Sections I & II
The Macroeconomics I portion of the PRAXIS II Economics test deals with business cycle, inflation, the measure of economic performance, national income accounting, and unemployment. This section contains about 15 questions. The Macroeconomics II section of the PRAXIS II Economics exam concerns economic growth, fiscal policy, income determination, international finance and investment, money and banking, and monetary policy. It consists of approximately 30 questions.
